Kelley Blue Book has compiled their list of the Best Family Cars, and we are pleased to report that three Chevrolet models have made the list. The 2016 Chevy Impala and Malibu both secured spots in the Sedan category, while the Chevy Tahoe earned a place in 3-Row SUVs. The criteria KBB used to make their selections included safety, comfort, convenience, financial well-being, and the availability of special features. All three Chevy models are equipped with an available 4G LTE WiFi connection as well as Apple CarPlay compatibility, helping to keep the whole family connected and entertained on long road trips. KBB was especially impressed by the advanced safety technologies available in the Chevy Malibu, like Rear Cross Traffic Alert, Forward Collision Alert, Front Pedestrian Alert, Automatic Parking Assist, and Teen Driver. The Tahoe earns high marks for passenger and cargo room and towing power, with enough power and room for nine people, their stuff, and trailer behind them. They recommend the Impala for families with older kids and teens, since the back seat can comfortably seat three adults. When law enforcement organizations in the US choose vehicles for their K-9 units, more agencies select the Chevrolet Tahoe than any other vehicle. Besides being spacious, rugged, and powerful, the Tahoe also offers an advanced climate control system that helps keep police dogs from overheating. With more cooling vents in the third row area than any other police utility vehicle, the Tahoe gets more cool air to the area where police dogs spend the most time. “Heat exhaustion is one of the top killers of police dogs,” said Michael Werges, sergeant-at-arms, North American Police Dog Association. “It’s imperative to police agencies that K-9 vehicles are equipped with an air conditioning system that can keep the dog’s entire body cool, from head to toe.” Phillips Chevrolet has Illinois’ Largest Chevy Inventory, including a great selection of Chevy Tahoes ready to keep you and your own K-9 cool and comfortable.
