The Chevrolet Tahoe you see above made Chevy manufacturing history earlier this week when it became the 11 millionth vehicle to roll off the line at Chevrolet’s Arlington Texas Assembly plant. This plant first opened in 1954, and among other vehicles, has produced more than 2.5 million full-size Chevrolet SUVs. Nearly 50% of the full-size SUVs sold in the United States are Chevrolets, and together with their GMC cousins, General Motors and the Arlington Assembly are responsible for 75% of all full-size SUVs sold to retail customers in the US. “Chevrolet has led the full-size utility segment in sales for 42 consecutive years by focusing on our customers and providing a range of confident, capable and connected vehicles to move a lot of people and cargo,” said Eric Stanczak, chief engineer for Full-Size Trucks and SUVs. Phillips Chevrolet in Frankfort, Lansing and Bradley has Illinois’ Largest Chevy Inventory, including a great selection of Chevy Tahoes.
